Biking is fun, it’s exercise, and it gets me from place to place relatively quickly. I started biking in late 2015 as a form of exercise, but thanks to the beautiful trails in my area I realized it could be so much more. Every bike-trip feels like a mini-adventure where I can explore old and new areas. The Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route will be my first long distance bike tour, but I hope it won’t be my last. Organizations like the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy and the Adventure Cycling Association and podcasts like the Pedal Shift Project keep me inspired with ideas for my next adventure. I plan to use this blog as a way to document my “bike adventure tours” and provide one more resource (of the thousands out there) for those planning to go on their own adventures.
